Murchison Falls Bamboo Village

Set amid approximately 20 acres of savannah near the Mubaku/Paraa Gate area of Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls Bamboo Village offers a distinctive alternative to conventional safari lodges. Its defining feature is its extensive use of bamboo and other natural materials, creating accommodation that feels closely connected to the surrounding landscape. The property is just outside the park rather than inside the park itself, although the main gate is only a few hundred metres away. 

The lodge has 14 rooms, with accommodation including Deluxe Bamboo Rooms, Savannah Cottages and family accommodation. Rooms are self-contained and generally feature private balconies, Wi-Fi, hot and cold water and 24-hour power; the Deluxe Bamboo Rooms add features such as bamboo flooring, larger beds and intercoms. 

A swimming pool, open-air dining spaces, an elevated viewing platform and outdoor fireplace give guests places to relax between game drives. Guest reviews regularly praise the warm staff, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, pool, food and convenient location, while recent reviews also note that Wi-Fi can be weaker in some cottages than in the main areas. 

The lodge can also arrange safari services and river-cruise bookings, making it a practical base for exploring the park's wildlife, the Victoria Nile and Murchison Falls.
