Last Updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and safari arrangements made with Esteemed Africa Safaris (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). By making a booking or enquiry with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we receive a 30% deposit of the total safari cost and issue a written confirmation invoice. Upon receipt of deposit, a binding contract exists between you and Esteemed Africa Safaris subject to these terms.
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
- It is your responsibility to verify all details on your confirmation invoice.
3. Payments
Payment terms are as follows:
- Deposit: 30% of the total safari cost is required to confirm your booking.
- Balance: The remaining 70% is due 60 days before the safari start date.
- Late bookings: Bookings made within 60 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
- Payments can be made via bank/wire transfer or Pesapal in USD, EUR, or KES.
- All bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds are processed as follows:
| Time Before Departure | Refund Amount |
|---|---|
| 60+ days | Full refund less deposit |
| 30–59 days | 50% of total cost |
| 15–29 days | 25% of total cost |
| Less than 15 days | No refund |
5. Amendments by You
If you wish to amend your booking after confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate changes. Amendment fees may apply depending on the nature and timing of the change.
6. Amendments & Cancellations by Us
In rare circumstances, we may need to alter or cancel a safari due to events beyond our control (force majeure). In such cases, we will offer you a suitable alternative or a full refund. We are not liable for any additional costs incurred due to such changes.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests. Your policy must cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings. We recommend purchasing insurance at the time of booking.
8. Health & Medical
You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit for travel. We recommend consulting your doctor regarding required vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis at least 4–6 weeks before departure.
9. Passports & Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity from departure date) and the necessary visas for your itinerary. We provide guidance but accept no liability for visa rejections or passport issues.
10. Liability
Esteemed Africa Safaris acts as a tour operator and booking agent for the various accommodations, transport, and activity providers featured in your itinerary. While we carefully select our partners, we are not liable for acts of negligence, accidents, injury, loss, or damage caused by third-party suppliers. Participation in safari activities is at your own risk.
11. Conduct
We reserve the right to terminate your safari without refund if your behaviour poses a risk to yourself, other guests, staff, or wildlife, or if you fail to follow safety instructions provided by your guide or lodge management.
12. Complaints
If you have a complaint during your safari, please raise it immediately with your guide or lodge manager so we can resolve it on the spot. If unresolved, please notify us in writing within 14 days of your return.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
