Kidepo Savannah Lodge

Perched on a rocky ridge overlooking the Narus Valley, Kidepo Savannah Lodge offers an immersive introduction to one of Uganda's most remote and least-visited safari destinations. The lodge sits approximately 500 metres from Kalokudo Gate, giving guests easy access to Kidepo Valley National Park while retaining spectacular elevated views across the surrounding savannah and towards Mount Morungole and the distant South Sudan border ranges. 

The lodge is deliberately small and informal. Its architecture draws inspiration from the surrounding savannah and Karamojong culture, using natural materials, thatch, stone and local craft to blend into the landscape rather than dominate it. The restaurant itself occupies a rocky outcrop and has uninterrupted views across the plains. 

Accommodation is offered in two styles: self-contained Luxury Safari Tents raised on platforms and simpler Explorer's Tents that share a bathroom block. The Luxury Safari Tents have private verandas facing the Narus Valley, stone en-suite bathrooms, hot showers and flush toilets. Explorer's Tents provide a more basic canvas experience while retaining private terraces and proper beds. 

The lodge is also unusual within the Nature Lodges portfolio because its own team operates and prices the game drives from the property, allowing guests to start their safari directly from camp. Other signature experiences include bush breakfasts, sundowners and visits to nearby Karamojong communities.
