Sasaab Luxury Eco Lodge

Perched high above the Ewaso Nyiro River in Westgate Community Conservancy, Sasaab offers a striking interpretation of luxury in northern Kenya. The lodge blends Moroccan and Swahili architectural influences with the natural landscape, creating expansive canvas-sided suites that open onto dramatic views of the river, the Laikipia Plateau, and Mount Kenya. 

Each of Sasaab's 11 suites is over 100 square metres and features a private plunge pool, while the lodge also has a central infinity pool, spa and wellness facilities. The elevated position allows guests to watch wildlife along the river while enjoying a peaceful, highly private safari setting. 

Sasaab's location provides access to both Westgate Community Conservancy and neighbouring Samburu National Reserve, allowing guests to combine classic game drives with activities that are generally unavailable inside the reserve, including guided walking, camel safaris and selected night-driving experiences. The area is particularly renowned for the Samburu Special Five: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. 

The experience extends beyond wildlife. Guests can engage with Samburu culture, visit community projects and schools, enjoy bush breakfasts and sundowners, explore the landscape by camel or quad bike, sleep beneath the stars on a fly-camping adventure or simply relax beside their private plunge pool.
