Your Maasai Mara adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi.
Leave the city behind and travel through Kenya's spectacular Great Rift Valley, with an opportunity to stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the dramatic escarpment.
Continue towards the Maasai Mara, passing through rural landscapes and Maasai communities before arriving in the Mara region.
After lunch at your lodge or camp, head out for your first afternoon game drive.
This is your first opportunity to encounter the Mara's extraordinary wildlife. Keep your eyes open for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, hyenas and, with some luck, the reserve's famous big cats.
As afternoon turns into evening, the golden African light transforms the savannah into a spectacular photographic landscape.
