We are committed to your health, safety and comfort throughout your safari. Please read the following information to help you prepare for a safe and enjoyable journey in East Africa.

  • • Your safety and well-being are our top priority.
  • • Our certified professional guides are trained in wilderness first aid and carry emergency kits.
  • • All safari vehicles feature high-frequency VHF radios and GPS satellite tracking.
  • • We maintain 24/7 on-ground emergency support throughout your entire safari.
  • • Yellow fever vaccination is required for travelers arriving from or transiting through yellow fever endemic countries.
  • • Recommended boosters: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Polio.
  • • Consult your local travel health clinic 4 to 6 weeks before departure for personalized advice.
  • • Malaria is present in low-altitude and savannah regions of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
  • • We strongly recommend consulting your physician for preventive anti-malarial medication (e.g. Malarone or Doxycycline).

  • • Do not drink tap water; avoid ice in drinks unless at verified luxury lodges.

  • • Comprehensive international travel insurance is essential and mandatory for all safari bookings.
  • • Ensure your policy includes emergency air medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and luggage protection.

  • • East Africa is close to the equator where UV radiation can be very strong.
  • • Wear high-factor sunscreen (SPF 30+), polarized sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed safari hat.
  • • Stay hydrated throughout the day by drinking at least 2 to 3 liters of water during warm game drives.
  • • Always listen carefully to your safari guide and lodge security briefings.
  • • Never stand up or lean out of open-roof safari vehicles while near wildlife.
  • • Do not walk unescorted between tents and main lodge dining areas after dark.
  • • Inform your driver-guide or lodge manager immediately at the first sign of illness.
  • • We maintain direct contact with leading medical clinics and airborne emergency services across East Africa.
  • • Carry a basic personal medical kit with pain relief, antihistamines, and digestive aids.
